How Can I Help?
|
There are many ways you can help the museum. Contrary to popular belief,
the Museum is NOT owned by the city of Danbury. We do get a grant from the
city but nearly 85% of our operating budget comes from other sources
including membership fees, donations and fundraisers. The Danbury Museum &
Historical Society is a 501c3 non-profit so all donations are fully tax
deductible to the extent allowed by law.
- The best way to get started is by
Becoming a Member.
- Help the museum with the storage of it's collection by
Adopting a Box.
- Does one of our historic buildings have particular interest to you?
Consider a donation specifically for that building:
- Marian Anderson Studio
- Dodd Hat Shop
- Charles Ives Birthplace
- John Rider House
- Huntington Hall
- If you are an SBC/SNET customer you can help the museum by signing up
for the SBC Community Connections
- Yankee Magazine
- Patronize our Gift Shop on our Main Street site.
- Patronize our on-line store for
Charles Ives and
Danbury Museum
items.
- Donating office supplies. Call the museum to see what is needed.
