cancellation.*
- 2:15 PM - 2:45 PM - When Marian Sang read by Brigid Guertin,
Executive Director of the Danbury Museum, on the lower level of the Music
Centre amidst children's murals of fairy tale scenes.
- 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM - Seating for afternoon recital.
- 3:00 PM - Representatives from the United States Postal Service
unveil the Marian Anderson stamp.
- 3:00 PM - 4:40 PM - afternoon recital featuring:
- CT State Representative Lew Wallace
- Kate Campbell Stevenson as "Eleanor Roosevelt"
- New Hope Baptist Choir
- Ms Cheryl Hill, soprano
- Kate Campbell Stevenson in her award winning role of "Marian
Anderson"
- 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM - Marian Anderson stamp cachet sale and
cancellation continues.*
*The cachet, to be sold for $10, and the cancellation
stamp itself were designed by art students at Danbury High School. |

Marian Anderson Studio Open House

cancellation. Throughout the open house DVD and video presentations of
Marian Anderson in concert will be shown.
- 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Remarks by Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton. Recital
by Laura Vlasak Nolen

| KATE CAMPBELL STEVENSON
Nationally renowned actress and singer, Ms Stevenson will be performing her
unique programs as she recreates a vintage scene from Marian
Anderson’s amazing life. Ms Stevenson will also be staying in
character as she introduces our other accomplished performers while acting
as Eleanor Roosevelt, one of Marian Anderson’s most vocal fans. |
